Parents: Cronus and Rhea
God/Goddess of: Seas, Earthquakes, Horses
Significant Children: Theseus, Busiris
Poseidon and Athena claimed to of had a fight of who would rule Athens. According to legend, Poseidon gave the people a big spring of seawater and Athena gave olive trees to the people of Athens. There were two stories though. In one story the people choose and Athena won, but the other story the gods and goddesses of Olimpia got to choose. All of the goddess voted for Athena and all of the god voted for Poseidon. The only god that didn't vote for Poseidon didn't even vote at all. This god was Zeus because he could not decide between his brother or his sister. The same results happened though. Poseidon had lost by one vote.
